Xavi Molina Biography
-
Hi I’m Xavissa (Xavi) Molina from Belize! I enjoy mostly anything related to biology. By a very interesting stroke of luck, I worked with crocodiles in Placencia, Belize during a summer internship in Summer of 2022. This started my interest to do field work related biology instead of focusing on solely the lab and molecular side. Now I find myself wanting to do both field work and lab work which has me all around the OU campus working with fish in Laura Stein’s lab and now helping out at the Sam Noble museum with their herpetology collection.
When I am not studying or doing research, I work very closely with my second family on this campus; the international community. I am the secretary for the International Advisory Committee (IAC), which is the umbrella organization for all International Student Organizations on the OU campus. It is a lot of work but also so much fun to be able to organize events and advocate for the needs of our international students. Aside from all of that, I spend my down time binging TV shows or playing video games.
