Michelle is a freshman from Norman, Oklahoma, currently majoring in biology at the University of Oklahoma. She has always had an interest in Biology and life sciences, especially evolution and biodiversity. After graduation, she hopes to enter a graduate program pursuing either a clinical or research career. She is working in the Siler Lab through the Honor’s FYRE (First Year Research Experience) program at the University of Oklahoma. She was interested in this program as a gateway for understanding the research process and environment.

Outside of academics, Michelle is involved in athletics through the Cheerleading program at the University of Oklahoma. She also enjoys participating in various volunteer programs through Norman Regional Hospital for the past few years. She enjoys traveling and working with any kind of animal.
