Carmen joined the Siler lab in the Fall of 2021 as a volunteer after having taken Field Herpetology during the spring intersession. She is majoring in Biology and minoring in Iranian Studies, in hopes of pursuing a career in either human or veterinary medicine. She has loved all types of animals, from dogs and cats to frogs and snakes her whole life. Carmen spends her free time fostering dogs, volunteering with various organizations, working as a nursing assistant, and playing the violin in OU’s community orchestra.
