Emily Vittitow Biography



Emily Vittitow was born and raised a Sooner in Norman, Oklahoma. Her interest in nature and natural history began with neanderthals and mammoths in the first grade and soon led to a fascination with life sciences. Her main interests include wildlife biology and human physiology. So, when she found out that she could be a part of cutting edge biological research in the Siler Lab she jumped at the opportunity. Emily will earn her bachelor’s degree in biology in May of 2019. At the moment she plans to earn a master’s degree in biomedical engineering and either attend medical or veterinary school, or pursue a career in medical research. When she is not in the lab or doing school work, Emily enjoys reading non-fiction and mystery novels, trying out new recipes from Pinterest, learning Chinese, and swimming.
