Austin is a Biology major from New Orleans, Louisiana and plans to pursue a career in field work after graduate school. He is a freshman, undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, drawing, playing NBA 2K17, buying new shoes every weekend, and taking care of his pet cornsnake, Lil Aus. Austin is particularly interested in snakes and even incorporating photography and visual arts, and is excited to pursue field work while volunteering in the lab. Living in New Orleans with Gators and Cottonmouths, reptiles have always been apart of Austin’s culture but it was when he read a book on King Cobras that he realized he wanted to be a herpetologist.
